The Charming Inn, now on the market, was neglected; no staff were present, it felt creepy and unsafe, many things didn’t work, and the breakfast and upkeep were minimal.

I chose this spot for its great location—walkable, easy parking, close to everything, and about a 12‑minute drive from Sunday River. The beds were clean, rooms tidy, and I love small‑town inns over large chains; the price was very fair. The building’s look and theme were cozy and inviting. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed for the season even though the welcome booklet still listed a menu, so we had to walk to another place for dinner. The continental breakfast was minimal, and some fruit cups were moldy. The staff member I spoke with over the phone was friendly, but I didn’t see any staff during my stay.
