The stay was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent for visiting family. We enjoyed lovely cafés in Meads village for breakfast and the Pilot Inn next door for dinner.

The place sits right where you want to be for walks along Beachy Head and the downs, with a great pub next door. The bed was super comfy, and the room came with a fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery so you could whip up simple meals. I appreciated the books about local history that were thoughtfully added. The management were quick to respond and flexible with check‑in times. The only gripe was that the bathroom tap was a bit low for filling kettles or water bottles, but the staff fixed it by handing over a small jug.

The location was spot on and the room felt cozy. The ceiling was low at the apex, and I wish there had been a toilet brush and some hanging space.

Lovely quiet spot with great access to the sea, the South Downs Way and local facilities. A very comfortable and clean room. It was a real bonus having a fridge and microwave so I could bring my own food for the hike I was doing there. TV programmes were only available via the app, I would prefer live TV if possible
