The place was very cozy, and the manager was professional and friendly. There was outside noise from the cobblestone road, which made it a bit loud.

The owner was kind and the restaurant food was good. The bed could be more comfortable, as could the pillow, and the street noise is noticeable because it’s right on the main road that cuts through the town.

“In dit gezellige hotel waan je je in een middeleeuwse herberg.”

This is an old family hotel that’s been passed down from father to son for a long time. Inside it feels like time has stood still; the décor largely dates from the Middle Ages. The innkeeper was very nice, speaks mostly Spanish with some English, and does his best to make you feel comfortable. The terrace is pleasant under large parasols. Our room was very basic but fresh and clean. The beds were fine and the air‑conditioning worked well. The centuries‑old original doors, locks, and wardrobe still functioned properly. The reasonably priced dinner was excellent, and the ribeye was as tender as it should be. During our stay we struggled to find a parking spot right in front of or next to the hotel. Eventually we managed, but you could also park 100 m away on a large square where you can park for free; there is plenty of space.

The place is truly magical.

The property is historic and very beautiful. Everything is very well cared for and preserved. Worth it.
