HI Liège Hostel offers a lively bar, terrace, and free WiFi, just 500 m from Liège’s city centre and shopping district. Rooms feature functional bedding and private bathrooms with shower, basin, and toilet. Guests enjoy breakfast, snacks, drinks, free table tennis, pool, laundry, and a games room. Annual courtyard concerts attract crowds, while nearby Maastricht and Brussels Airport are easily accessible.

The location, cleanliness, and comfort are good, the terrace is pleasant and the kitchen is practical, and the staff are friendly. The luggage area is poorly placed and dangerous, full of exposed electrical wires everywhere. The doors are locked all the time; I had to wait until 7:30 am for them to open, and that’s the same everywhere.

The beds were great, the bar had reasonable prices, and breakfast was solid. Nothing else to add.

The common areas are lovely with plenty of tables and sofas to relax on, and the dormitory was spotlessly clean. The only downside is you’re forced to take the on‑site breakfast and you’ll need a lock for the dorm lockers.
