There’s a nice view from the terrace and it’s appreciated that we can dine outside, plus the food is good. The rooms are small, the lower terrace is cluttered and used as storage for furniture and even a boat, the terrace furniture is very old, and the worst are the rusty iron loungers—what a pity!

I stayed in room 127 on the ground floor and it was roomy enough, with a comfy bed. The room was close to the pool, which was clean and enjoyable, and the restaurant was pleasant; Jeronica was a delight as a server. The blended fruit smoothies and cocktails were particularly good, and I liked having access to the Onyx spa on site. The hotel is near a lot of other amenities. However, nobody helped me with my luggage when I left, and the chairs around the pool had no umbrellas, so I had to sit in the scorching sun. The rooms feel quite dated and could use a touch of refurbishment. There was no complimentary water in the room, which is not ideal in a hot country. As a solo female traveller, I was uncomfortable being in a ground‑floor room with a weak lock, where people from the bar and the pool could see directly into my room. Restaurant service is inconsistent; servers are slow to acknowledge you, offer a seat, or take your order, and the menu offers only a few healthy options.

The location is spectacular, and the sunsets are the best ever—it's like magic as the sky shifts from orange to red to violet. I liked everything; maybe the restaurant could improve, but people love it and it’s full every night.

The hotel's location and spacious balcony in my room were definite positives. However, the reception staff were unfriendly, and I had to carefully review my bill to avoid being charged for extras that I hadn't consumed.
