The receptionist greeted us with a warm smile and was genuinely helpful, which was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the building looks like it’s been waiting for a makeover for ages – the carpeted floors creaked underfoot, the blankets had a stray hairball, and the window was patched up with cardboard and translucent plastic.

The staff treated us well and gave solid advice throughout our visit, making us feel taken care of.
I booked an upgrade to a single room and paid extra, but at 4 a.m. the owner (or someone claiming to be the owner) knocked on my door, shook it, and started accusing me of not having a reservation, even though the upgrade was confirmed. The next morning he kept interrupting me, was hostile, and made a threatening comment about seeing me again, then kept messaging me on WhatsApp after I’d already left and paid.
This spot is right by the bus stop and downtown, so getting around was a breeze, and the price was hard to beat. The owner even arranged a paid taxi to the airport and let us check in after 10 p.m., which was convenient. The only thing that kept it from being perfect was the lack of a thorough cleaning routine, and there was no breakfast offered.
The owner was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, making the stay feel welcoming.
