“Pratique mais vieillot”
I loved how close the place was to Otranto’s old town—just a 3‑minute walk through a quiet little alley. The owner let us park right in front of her garage entrance; there were street spots available, but they were paid and we saw a few “aubergines” passing by. Unfortunately, without any heads‑up, the owner didn’t hand us the double room we’d booked on Booking because a sick gentleman was still occupying it and she couldn’t get him to leave as planned. We ended up in a smaller room for one night, which was fine, but she should have mentioned it before we raised the issue. She offered us another room—slightly larger but without a bathroom. The accommodation feels more like a “stay with a host” than a typical tourist place. The room was clean, but the furniture and overall look were a bit dated and could use a touch of refreshment.
