The spot was spot-on for a trip to Wilderness Railway, but the room felt old and plain, though it was clean; when I checked out, there was no hot water for the shower.

The sheets were spotless, but the place was very dated with dodgy wiring, a leaking toilet and sink that left the bathroom floor perpetually wet, no floor mat, no TV remote, and the whole area smelled terrible—just plain unpleasant, so I wouldn't recommend it.

The dinner and restaurant were superb, the views were nice, and the hotel was close to town and the highway with comfortable beds and a tidy room; however, the shower and bathroom needed updating, and a bit of glazing and soundproofing on the windows might help since I heard people talking through the window, especially when they were outside.

The room was dry from the rain and the restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices. However the room was very small and musty, smelling as if it hadn’t been aired for weeks. Water seeped through the walls into the toilet, and it was impossible to keep toilet paper dry when left on the roll touching the wall.
