“I stayed only 2 nights, the purpose of my trip was to attend the graduation of my nephew.”

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Lubbock and found the bedroom very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made my stay pleasant. The corridors and common areas were also tidy, giving the hotel a brand‑new look. I would suggest adding more warmth and character to the lobby—some green plants, fresh flowers, and soft background music could make it feel more welcoming and cozy. Overall, it was an OK experience; the room’s cleanliness and comfort were appreciated, and a few decorative touches in the lobby could make the hotel feel even more inviting. The breakfast was not good and lacked any special features. I also thought the prices were high for what was offered; paying US$6.00 for a single piece of toast seemed excessive and not good value. The location was another issue—I didn’t find the neighborhood pleasant, and I didn’t feel very safe or comfortable there. The reception service was also poor; some staff seemed newly hired and unfamiliar with the hotel’s operations, and the assistance at the front desk did not meet my expectations, making the overall service feel somewhat unorganized. I learned that the previous manager had recently left and a new one had been hired, which might explain the service issues. Hopefully, as the new team gains experience, the quality of service will improve.

“Enjoyed my stay, but will look for breakfast included options next time.”

The bed was comfortable, the TV had good channels, and the pool was nice, but there was no complimentary breakfast even though the booking said free breakfast was included.

The place was spotless, and my room was equally clean. The staff were helpful, but after a tiring day I wanted a shower, a bed, and a good movie, only to find most channels – especially the movie ones – not working. :(
