I liked how the staff treated guests kindly and made sure we were comfortable, and the room options were suitable; the rooms with views were beautiful, overlooking the road near Marjan. The only downside was the heat in the corridors and the elevator.

At reception, Mr. Chafiq is a gem for the company; he’s very, very kind, smiling and helpful. The breakfast was lacking.

The location is great, central, close to everything. Many good restaurants nearby. The façade is pretty and well maintained. The room was comfortable and clean. It took forever to confirm the reservation and pay, even though it should have been simple to pay by card through Booking like all other hotels. It was impossible to take a shower because the plumbing was so old that you couldn’t turn on the tap; you had to wash with the bathtub system, which is very inconvenient, especially for washing hair. Breakfast, despite a very nice lady, was horrible—old, stale products, cold tea and coffee. We had to put the plates ourselves; there was almost nothing left to eat. The plates were empty under their pink films on the bar. The worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Dinner (choose couscous or tajine to reserve) was good but way too expensive. We paid 600 Dinar for 5 couscous, while the restaurant next to the post office charged 200 for 3 tajines, 3 salads, and 3 skewers with fries.
