I liked the room and the Chicago surroundings, but locating the hotel was a nightmare with heavy traffic; I circled for over an hour just to park, paid $71 per day for parking, pets were allowed but had to walk them three blocks to relieve, and there were no complimentary perks.

“Breakfast and bar sub standard”

The stay was poor and cheap. I paid for breakfast and the waffle cost $14, which is not the quality I’d expect after 20 years of staying at Hiltons worldwide. The breakfast menu was a sin: just 1 piece of toast and 1 bacon. I paid for breakfast as an add‑on to my 2‑night stay, not complimentary because I stayed on a coupon.

“Nice city hotel”

I landed in Chicago and found this city hotel right in the heart of the action, just a stone’s throw from the Big Bus stop and the cruise boat station. The receptionists greeted us warmly and let us check in early, which was a nice touch. The room was on the smaller side but came stocked with everything needed to unwind after a long day of walking around the city. The only downside was the cleaning – there was a lot of dust on the floor near the bed. Breakfast was underwhelming, and there are far better options outside the hotel.
