Palmed Hotel

“A lovely, small, traditional hotel — perfect for a short trip to Calabria”

The hotel is conveniently located just a short distance from the airport and only a 5‑minute walk from the beach. Breakfast was more than adequate, giving everything you need to start the day. The hotel director was incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The shower was a bit too small for me.

“Given the very low price and moderate expectations, it overall slightly exceeded my expectations.”

Parking was really easy. The room had a well‑functioning, pleasantly quiet air conditioner. The morning coffee was great—way better than in some other hotels—and you could enjoy breakfast on the first‑floor terrace with an incredible view. Latté di soya and Latté di avena were both available directly in the morning. The bed wasn’t really comfortable—it was rather too hard. Plus, the Wi‑Fi was down the entire time, and, as is often the case in Southern Italy, the staff had very poor English skills.

Everything was great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I would definitely stay there again. We went mid‑August and it was very hot; when you leave the air conditioner gets turned off. I was sick for a couple of weeks, and the room was so stuffy and hot—that’s the only complaint. Otherwise, we had a nice stay. Oh, the shower door was broken!

“Un ottimo "stop & go"...”

The owner was extremely kind, personally picking us up from the airport at 1:30 am for free and dropping us off the next morning. The property is well‑maintained and clean, though it could use a refresh and modernization. Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of sweet and savory items. We didn’t have time to use any other services, but the location seemed ideal for a beach holiday.
