Despite being a four‑star hotel, it hardly deserves that rating. The facilities are large but lack upkeep, and the staff are unprofessional and thinly spread, with poor communication. The spa runs water jets once in the morning and once in the afternoon, but half of them don’t work. Access is restricted with confusing fruit‑shop hours. The buffet is sparse and low‑quality. The bedding is broken, the robes are worn, the shower tray leaks, the pool schedules are unclear, and the staff service is bad.

The setting is so pastoral, with the Ambroz River as a backdrop, and the staff are all very kind, especially the kitchen, housekeeping, and spa teams. The food is 100 % homemade and delicious. The hotel has been renovated while preserving the building’s character. The spa is a treat, both the indoor and outdoor pools, and the circuit and various treatments are highly recommended. I liked everything; I don’t understand some of the negative reviews that made us question whether to choose this spa or another. Luckily we made the right choice. We’ll definitely return, probably in autumn for hiking in the area.
