The staff were excellent and the family‑owned vibe made us feel welcome; the view of Lake Winnipesaukee was amazing, the place was quiet for relaxing while looking at the lake, and it was close to a concert venue, shops, and other amenities; we could swim directly on the lake, use the boat dock, and I’ve stayed here multiple times without any problems.

The spot was great—right by the lake and super cozy. But the room was a mess: cobwebs everywhere, hair in the bathroom and shower, old soap stuck to the shower, toothpaste on the mirror, and a single bowl. No hair dryer and a dirty mirror by the table. Housekeepers should focus more on cleaning, and the site doesn’t mention that the lower rooms lack a bathtub.

The location was solid and the lake view was lovely, so we had a decent short stay. The window lock on the big window was broken, making me feel a bit unsafe, and the bed creaked so badly that my spouse and I kept waking each other up when we rolled.
