Hotel Hamahigashima Resort, in Uruma, features 3 on-site restaurants, a seasonal outdoor pool, and barbecue facilities. The resort is a 10-minute walk from Muruku Beach and 70 minutes from Naha Airport by car. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms with baths and showers, and amenities like slippers and free toiletries. Free WiFi is available throughout.

The location and view were fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were awful, with mold, wallpaper peeling off the walls, old furniture, and very hard mattresses. The breakfast was very poor and strictly Japanese‑style.

It feels like a dream! The private beach is peaceful, but the journey is long and renting a car is essential.

The spot is gorgeous, far from the crowded main islands, with a stunning beach and an amazing sunrise view; the staff are wonderfully helpful.

The hotel was spotless, with a great lobby, wonderful breakfast and fantastic views from the rooms; getting up and down was a little tricky, but the beach was close and the Okinawan cuisine was delicious, and crossing the bridge added an exciting touch. The downside was the lack of nearby dinner options, which was especially inconvenient for the two families traveling together in our larger group.
