Murni's Houses & Spa

The location, reception, information, and room space were all excellent. Honestly, nothing to note. I had to climb a flight of stairs to the room, but that wasn’t an issue. If I had luggage, they would have helped me.

“Good location, traditional atmosphere and good value.”

We enjoyed our stay at Murni’s House. The location was great — it felt peaceful and was nicely elevated above the noise of the road and shops, while still being close enough to walk to everything. The spa treatment was also very relaxing. The traditional Balinese-style accommodation gave us a lovely local experience and it was good value for money. The only downside for us was the noise at night. We were sharing the third floor with a family occupying the other few rooms, and they were moving between rooms, hanging around in the corridor, slamming doors and talking loudly until around midnight. This made it difficult to sleep. The space is small and the older doors can be noisy when they aren’t closed carefully, so this is something light sleepers may want to consider

Murni’s blew us away; it feels like a quiet hideaway right next to the bustling main road and shops, yet it stays calm. The staff were sweet, the spa was superb, the pool great, and breakfast was cheap and tasty. We met Murni, a lovely local lady who shared her time, advice, and even invited us to a local ceremony. The room turned out nicer than the pictures, so I’d give it 11 out of 10 for everything. Nothing needs improvement – the stay was flawless.

“Beautiful, peaceful, safe, traditional Ubud property with so much character. Great staff !!”

The team at Murni’s were simply wonderful, helpful, cheerful, and genuinely interested in us. Because of a physical impairment, they quickly switched us to another room with almost no wait, letting us keep enjoying the place, which we deeply appreciated. The only downside was that the breakfast menu could have been a bit more varied, and we didn’t know there was no on‑site restaurant; the bright spot was that Murni’s at Warung is an amazing eatery just a short walk away.

The location was perfect, especially for the Campuhan walk, and we savored our meal at Murnie’s Warung. The pool was lovely.
