This beachfront hotel features a pool, fitness center, and on-site dining options, including the Great American Grill restaurant. Guests can enjoy beach access, a fishing pier, and a games room. We were warmly greeted when we arrived, our room was right after the elevator so no hallway walking, and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the beach; everything was wonderful.

The spot’s location makes it a breeze to head north to Duck or Corolla or south to Kitty Hawk, and the beach right by the hotel is wide enough for a chill day. A few solid restaurants are within walking distance, and the breakfast offered at the hotel is decent. The pool and courtyard outside are adequate, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was a nice size for a couple and even had a side view of the beach; everything was spotless and odor‑free. On the downside, the on‑site restaurant and bar stay shut after breakfast at 11 am and only reopen at 5 pm for dinner, so we missed out on a dinner there and the bar wasn’t available earlier in the afternoon for a vacation drink—probably a seasonal thing since we were there the first week of October, and the patio tiki bar was also closed.
