The rooms were decent, but I couldn’t keep the terrace door open for more than a few seconds or else spiders and insects would crawl in. The pool water was cold—please add central heating. The staff were very incompetent and confused at both check‑in and check‑out; they didn’t even know our room numbers after we were assigned rooms, and they didn’t keep us all on one floor. Rain water kept standing outside the room door, and no one was at the reception. They reluctantly accepted dollars at check‑in (initially refusing them). No one was there to operate the jacuzzi or sauna, so it was basically a self‑service hotel. It seemed understaffed. Despite charging almost $250 per night per room, everything else was extra. It wasn’t worth the hype or the money; I could have stayed at a far better hotel for a more reasonable rate. There were also no halal food options at the hotel, and it was very hard to find halal food in downtown Ella.
