The hotel is next to Altona station where I arrived by train. The room was a bit noisy.

The IntercityHotel Hamburg Altona is situated next to the Altona train station, offering easy access to Hamburg's main attractions. The port and Reeperbahn entertainment mile are 2 S-Bahn stops away, the exhibition centre 3 stops, and Alster lake and Jungfernstieg shopping district 5 stops. Modern rooms feature soundproofed windows, free WiFi, and all necessary comforts.

Perfect location for an early train departure from Hamburg Altona.

The location is right next to Altona Hbf, and I booked there expecting to catch the train immediately, but it was under maintenance so I had to take the subway to another station. Either way, the area is close to restaurants and stores, but I couldn’t visit the Elba River, which is very near. The carpet in the halls looks old and a little dirty, and the breakfast could use more protein; it was only eggs and bacon, mostly cereals, bread, and fruit.

The proximity to Altona station and the neighborhood was perfect, and the rooms were very quiet despite being close to the station. The mattresses were very hard and the pillows were too small and soft.
