The spa never felt crowded, and the large car park always had a spot. The bedroom shower, however, was barely powerful.
The house was beautiful with a lovely garden, but there were too many dried flowers and odd decorations.

The suite and the food were good, but the spa was quite small and would benefit from an outdoor pool, garden seating around the bar and pool, hot tubs, and pods.

The setting was glorious, the spa facilities were nice, the bed very comfortable, and the receptionists were courteous despite being young. I was unhappy with the set price for dinner: I chose the vegetarian celeriac steak, yet paid the same as meat diners, and had to pay extra for essential side vegetables. The room had UHT milk packets like those in a Premier Inn, which feels off when paying high prices. A £50 levy for a one‑hour late check‑out and another similar fee for an extra hour in the spa area seemed usurious, giving a sense of less luxury and more aggressive charging.
