Located in Dili’s historic center, Plaza Hotel sits beside the old Portuguese Palacio de Governu, just a five‑minute walk from shops, restaurants, and the airport. Air‑conditioned rooms feature flat‑screen TVs, refrigerators, and optional mountain views. The on‑site restaurant serves international cuisine, while a bar offers beer and wine. Free Wi‑Fi, parking, a business centre, and function rooms enhance guest convenience.

The room was good, but the breakfast was disappointing.

The location was superb, and there was nothing to complain about.

The staff were fantastic, and it was a bonus that a very nice driver picked me up from the airport at no extra charge; the room was fine and the pool was very clean. There were three top‑class restaurants—Portuguese, Timorese, and Chinese—and an excellent coffee shop a couple of hundred metres away, so the whole experience was a pleasure. The only let‑down was breakfast, which was served at the Chinese restaurant next door, which I’m not sure is affiliated with the hotel; strangely, the evening meals at that restaurant were good!
