The space and patio are huge and super calm, the people are friendly, the location is great—just minutes from some beaches and even reachable by scooter to others, plus plenty of nearby restaurants and cafés. Unfortunately, after showering the bathroom emitted a strong odor that sometimes lingered, and Wi‑Fi from the rooms rarely worked; I had to step outside onto the small porch to get a connection, which was fine for browsing but not ideal for work.

The place was nice, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the area around Uluwatu wasn’t crowded, close to good beaches; the facilities were in good shape, the air‑conditioner worked well, and the homestay area was tidy with plants, statues, and a public pool. However, the villa we stayed in was far from the center, so we had a lot of flies and an occasional bad smell from a nearby dump during the day, and the construction site outside spoiled our privacy.

The experience was disastrous: morning to night, drilling noise and the reception music echoed throughout the building, the bathroom VMC sounded like a motor, a urine smell lingered in the room, hot water took 30 minutes to arrive, and the cleanliness was really poor. The owner showed no empathy or consideration. FLEE!
