“A unique and charming place, full of character.”

La Casa de Melgar is a stunning place brimming with charm; the flower‑filled gardens, vintage photos, antique pottery, and bright colors create a unique, authentic feel. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and a real joy to relax in. We adored the overall atmosphere of the property. It’s close to the city center, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. La Casa de Melgar ranks among the best places we’ve stayed while traveling. It’s full of character and charm, leaving a lasting impression, and we’d gladly return. The breakfast was rather simple, but that seemed to be the norm across Peru, so it wasn’t a major drawback.

The building is the old house of the bishop’s father. The inner courtyards are lovely, and the rooms are furnished with well‑preserved antique pieces.

“Très bel endroit”

A very nice place, well‑located, with quality bedding in a spacious, clean room. The buffet breakfast is excellent and is partially refreshed each day to keep it interesting. The room is a bit dark and noisy because it’s in the corridor leading to the breakfast area, and there’s no curtain on the window directly opposite the bed.
