“We enjoyed our stay at Izarre. Over all it eas a pleasant stay. We would’ve loved to have a bigger bed and better shower”
It was very quiet and right in the mountains, which we absolutely loved! The bed was really small for us and the water pressure came and went.
Overall, the owners are trying to keep the property up to a good standard. The furniture in the room is well maintained, the bed is comfortable, and the building is old but stylish. However, the bathroom in the room we rented needs refreshing, especially the fixtures. The place has a water problem. Unfortunately, the existing water supply to the property is faulty and causes a lack of water. On Saturday and Sunday, someone was there who could make the water appear in the tap, but on Monday no one came to address the fact that guests had no water to wash in from morning. Also, the hosts are not communicative; they don’t feel obliged to look after their guests.
The place was very neglected, no cleanliness, no water in the bathroom, and the breakfast was very poor.
“Het complex lag mooi in de vallei.”
The peace was nice and the village was charming, but the whole place was old. There was no pool as advertised, and the owner could have done a lot more.
“Très décevant. Un écart important entre l’annonce et la réalité”
The experience was utterly disappointing, mainly because the photos on the site were far from reality when we arrived. The pool was unusable: the water was completely green with weeds inside, and the tiles were broken, so we never got to use it at all. The outdoor areas were also poorly maintained; tables and benches were dirty, covered in dead leaves and trash, and the whole garden looked abandoned. We had chosen this place specifically to enjoy the outdoor setting and the pool, which turned out impossible. Other issues marred our stay: the upstairs rooms were unbearably hot with no air conditioning or ventilation to sleep properly; Wi‑Fi was non‑existent on the first floor even though it was advertised; water pressure was very low and we had to wait a long time for hot water; breakfast consisted only of packaged industrial products with no local or homemade items. These problems affected every day of our visit. The state of the pool and the surroundings forced us to leave the property daily to find other places to spend time, adding extra fuel costs. Despite all these problems and the photos taken on site, we received NO reimbursement from the accommodation, and after our complaint, they ultimately dismissed the situation by refusing any compensation commensurate with the damage suffered.
