Located in central São Tomé das Letras, Pousada Antares is 50 metres from the main square and directly at the church square. This family-run guest house offers free WiFi, satellite TV, minibar, and en suite bathrooms in each room. A breakfast buffet and shared kitchen are available, along with barbecue facilities and a summer terrace.

Simple but comfortable. The bedding is excellent. The breakfast is the best I’ve had at any inn in MG. It’s close to the central square and has its own parking nearby. The downside is that there are no power outlets near the bed, and the window has no view.

I liked the spot, yet the pictures were misleading – I booked a room with a bathroom and found no bathtub.

The place is great, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

The location is superb, close to amazing restaurants and bars. Breakfast was delicious and staff very kind, so I always stay here. This time I was in room 11, which is spacious. The window looks out onto a high wall in a narrow, ugly corridor and can't even open, so no view. There's no support in the shower, no toilet support, and the breakfast area has steps; with only two tables, people have to go up and down, which is tough for me with low mobility and a wheelchair has no access. There's also a high step right at the reception counter passage, unmarked, causing people to trip; I saw a lady almost fall. Aside from accessibility issues, everything else is very good.
