The reception was nice, but the room was minimalistic, the heating was at 15°C and turned off early in the morning; I wanted to work in my room before leaving, so I was grateful for the towel warmer to warm my hands; breakfast was mediocre with thawed and slightly over‑reheated bread and croissants—worth forgetting.
“La casa de las arañas”
The kids had plenty of open space to play, but the house smelled like it had been closed for a long time when we entered, with huge long‑legged spiders everywhere. We removed more than 30 spiders and a few other insects without exaggerating. The place was poorly maintained: bathrooms were not very clean, with hair and nails in the sink; household items were in poor condition, and cleaning tools like sponges and mops looked heavily used. The layout felt odd, with one of the sofa beds in the kitchen. The person who greeted us at arrival spoke only French and used very few words. Neither of the sofa beds had sheets or duvets ready, even though we knew we were staying. Overall, a disaster.

A magnificent place, full of charm and character. Very warm welcome. Beautiful old‑style rooms with high ceilings and large windows.

The host was welcoming and helpful, nothing else to mention.

It would have been better to distinguish the gîte area from the bed‑and‑breakfast rooms at the small château on the reservation site. We booked and called three weeks before to host two people for five nights with breakfast included, but due to construction we were offered only one gîte for 8/9 people. On arrival there were a few issues: breakfast was not possible even at extra cost, the front door key was defective, the washing machine was stuck on one cycle, the gas stove igniter and dishes were not very good. Otherwise, the bedding was good and large, heating was fine, rooms were well sized, and bathrooms were good. The kitchen was old‑fashioned.
