Papavero Giallo B&B in Le Castella offers air‑conditioned family rooms with private bathrooms, balconies, work desks, minibars and free Wi‑Fi. Situated 13 km from Crotone Airport, it’s a short walk to Lido and 500 m from Le Castella Castle, with free parking, 24‑hour front desk, bar, coffee shop and outdoor seating.

A lovely, comfortable room not far from the waterfront in Le Castella. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs (also owned by the host, Mauro) was good - the typical Italian breakfast of cakes and coffee with a selection of yoghurts and fruit juices (bottled). Off-street parking was available for our stay (October so off/shoulder season) which we appreciated. In peak season, this would be a very handy feature. Not the fault of the accommodation but the restaurant choices in Le Castella were very limited being October. The owner's restaurant was only open for breakfast and then only for guest's of Papavero Giallo. Having said that, we had a very special dinner at Ruris Ristorante (15 minutes drive away at Isola di Capo Rizzuto) which we had booked a few days prior to our arrival. The loveliest couple run this restaurant (Natale Pallone and his wife) - we will definitely be back should we find ourselves in this part of Italy again. It was a standout, wonderful experience and only added to our favourable impression of this special part of Italy

The hotel is brand‑new, impeccably clean, and sits just 10 metres from the main street that hosts restaurants and leads to the fortress, with its own parking lot.

We stayed at Papavero Giallo for four nights and everything was flawless: spotless rooms, great location, brand‑new and cosy rooms, warm hospitality, and a superb breakfast.
