Marcelo’s hospitality was the highlight – he made me feel welcome, introduced me to a few new faces, and the spot itself was really peaceful. The downside was that the house could have been cleaner and a couple of things were a bit worn out. Overall, a friendly vibe but the upkeep needs work.

Everything about this place was fantastic – Marcelo and his son are warm and super welcoming, and the location is spot‑on right by the beach and the Santo Antônio bar, where I had the best shrimp pastel and a refreshing cocoa‑pitanga juice. It felt like staying on a little farm, waking up to birds singing, and Marcelo’s tapioca was out of this world. I’m already missing it and would come back in a heartbeat.

“Nos sentimos em casa!”

Marcelo and Fernando took us in like old friends, and the house felt instantly comfortable. Our room was spotless, cozy and just the right size, and the hostel is a short walk from the beach and local shops. We’ll definitely be back.

The house is just a stone’s throw from the beach, roomy and comfy, and you share the common areas with locals who are incredibly kind and helpful. Marcelo made sure I felt at ease and even showed me some great spots and introduced me to wonderful people. A pleasant stay all around.

My time in Algodões was a blast – Marcelo handled the check‑in flawlessly and kept the vibe homey throughout our stay, so much so that we added an extra night. He invited us to local events, gave spot‑on recommendations, and took us on a truly typical tour on the last day. We’ll definitely return to Algodões next time we’re in the area.
