The breakfast was fabulous and everything was very clean. The rooms were comfortable and we loved the style. A big plus was the onsen as well as the restaurant experience for dinner. Everything was top notch, comfortable, and it was well located. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. n/a

The onsen here is the coolest among the 14 in the area, and unlike most others you can actually enter it. The rooms are traditional, spacious, and the beds are comfortable, with staff always ready to help.

The hotel sits right in the hot‑spring town, making it convenient for a round of onsen visits and meals, and it’s close to the bus terminal so shuttle buses to the ski resort are easy to catch. The owner is a foreigner who treats guests very kindly. However, when I booked online my Japanese name was mistaken for a Chinese name, so my name appeared in pinyin romanization, which made check‑in a bit of a hassle; people who struggle with English might find it tough. Cleaning is generally good, but the tatami is old and fine dust gets on socks. Wi‑Fi works, yet the family room on the second floor had poor reception, which was disappointing.

We had an amazing stay at Lodge Yokochi! The staff were welcoming and accommodating, the bedrooms were huge with big windows and incredibly comfy beds, the location was perfect and central, and the breakfast and bar inside the lodge were fantastic. We can’t recommend this place enough! The onsen was spotless and perfect after a ski day. We’ll be back!
