“Amazing hotel, with just few drawbacks”
The hotel itself is amazing. The facilities are excellent, the pool area is beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of options. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the hotel itself absolutely lived up to our expectations. There were a few things that kept this from being a 10/10 for us. The beach is not particularly impressive. The beautiful pool area more than makes up for it, but if you are mainly coming to Crete for the sea and the beach, there are definitely much nicer beaches in the area. The location is also a little isolated. If you want to leave the hotel for lunch or dinner, there aren’t many options within a short walking distance. For more choice, you’ll either need a car or be prepared for a longer walk. One issue we had with our room was the air conditioning, which was extremely noisy. It was impossible for us to sleep with it on, and even during the day the noise was quite disturbing. We didn’t report it to reception during our stay, so I can’t say whether this was specific to our room or something that could have been easily fixed, but it definitely affected our comfort. One small detail that felt rather out of place for a hotel in this price range was the coffee policy. The room had a capsule coffee machine with a limited number of complimentary capsules, while additional capsules were charged at €1 each. It’s obviously a very minor cost, but when paying over €400 per night, charging separately for an extra coffee capsule felt unnecessarily petty and not quite in line with the otherwise premium experience
