It’s a sports centre on the edge of a forest with friendly people. Whether you’re playing tennis or squash yourself or just looking for a nice place with a bit of a summer camp vibe, this spot is a good pick. I rented a bike through the kvv-nextbike app in Karlsruhe, cycled through the forest (~20‑30 min) to the centre, kept it for a few days, and returned it for about €9/day.

Tolle ruhige Lage am Waldrand, somit schöne Möglichkeiten für einen Spaziergang. Chefin und Personal super freundlich. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Auch S-Bahn Haltestelle nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt. Das Zimmer war mit einer kleinen Terrasse, schön ruhig zum Waldrand hin. Zimmer war sauber. Auch das Frühstück war top. Wir konnten nicht alle Brötchen essen, da es zu viele waren. Kommen gerne wieder

A bit remote but quiet, with good sports facilities (tennis). The staff were attentive and friendly; when the orange‑juice carafe ran out, they refilled it at the breakfast table. The interior feels older because of the dated design; wear wasn’t obvious, but the colours might come back into fashion.
