The room was a good, large, bright, well‑furnished B&B‑style place. The staff were very friendly and eager to fix problems. On the second day, there was no water for a shower, so I had to use the sink. They tried to solve it, but by the afternoon the water flow was weak and I ended up taking a cold shower because hot water was missing. The bathroom drains (which were outside) smelled like sewage. Noise started at 8 am, making it impossible to sleep if you’re a light sleeper – bring earplugs.

It was quiet and the staff communicated well. The balcony was a nice spot to sit. Check‑in was all by codes. Wi‑Fi was good. The area had local shops and walking to the center was easy in daylight. The price was cheap for Palermo, but that may explain some issues. I tried to be fair, but the negatives outweighed the positives. The manager entered my room while I was out, left the patio door wide open and the room door unlocked. Fortunately nothing was taken, but it made me feel unsafe; she apologized, but it wasn’t enough. The room wasn’t clean and had a musty odor. The air‑con ran at 26 °C, which was cool enough for me. The toilet seat was broken and stained, with a sewage smell. The bed sheets and towels looked old and unclean, and there was no glass for drinks. I stayed in the green room, and I would not return or recommend it. It could be improved easily, but a hostel would have been better. Two buses are needed to reach the train station or a 40‑minute walk. Getting a taxi in Palermo is almost impossible, so plan accordingly if you need an early flight connection. The pavements in Palermo aren’t well kept and many street lights don’t work, but it’s still a great city.
