I was thrilled by the owner and manager’s friendliness and the fact that they served food sourced from the rice paddies and fields right outside the hotel – that was a real delight. The only thing that would have made my stay better is having two futons instead of one.

The rice tasted good. The photos gave the impression that the food was a big focus, but it wasn’t really that impressive.

Dinner and breakfast were both very tasty! The next day I requested an extra 12‑person dinner, and shared it with companions staying at another lodging, and we received excellent service. The rice cooked in a pot, the mugwort miso rice balls, tempura, grilled vegetables, and plenty of meat and fish were all delicious. The guide to nearby sights was also appreciated. The bath water was a bit cold.
