It’s a decent spot for travelers on the move, suitable for one or two nights, and the price‑to‑quality ratio is good. The shower is clean and the rooms are fairly tidy. You can arrange a breakfast package so you can leave early in the morning. There’s a massage chair available for 25 € per half hour. We had to wait a long time for a reply at the front door because the host had to come from another business a few blocks away. The rooms were very hot, even in late September, and despite being able to open the windows, we slept poorly. The street outside is noisy all day, evening, and night, with clattering traffic, so you can’t sleep with the windows open. There’s no air‑conditioning, so in summer it’s probably unbearable. Several breakfast items were past their expiry date—one was a month old. The only coffee was vending‑machine and it was so dirty we left it untouched. The host complained that I couldn’t find the kitchen and later returned with a few more remarks, which felt heavy. After a tiring trip, I was given a tour, but hours later I still couldn’t locate everything, especially since the common kitchen areas had the same names as the bedrooms. I’d suggest labeling the doors “Kitchen.” I didn’t want to open a door with sleeping guests behind it, yet the second morning guests had left the street door open with the keys inside, which felt oddly secure. There’s a lot of deferred maintenance; everything looks worn. The toilet makes a huge noise when flushed, so you’re startled awake at night when someone goes to the bathroom. I’d avoid staying a week here before my vacation.

The room was nice, the breakfast was solid, and the location in IJzendijke’s center was convenient. The staff were warm and welcoming, and there were coffee and tea options. Strolling through the charming streets was a pleasure, and I’m grateful again for the attentive service.
