The location and views were gorgeous, and the Woolshed restaurant’s staff, service, and food were excellent. I would have liked the option to buy a morning coffee. Very disappointed that the helicopter flight was cancelled.

Rawnsley Park Station, a 12,000-hectare working sheep station, nestles at Wilpena Pound's foot in the Flinders Ranges. The station offers varied accommodations, an on-site restaurant, and outdoor pool. Scenic flights and four-wheel-drive tours are bookable on-site. Luxurious villas feature private balconies with uninterrupted views and retractable ceilings for stargazing. A renovated homestead with private pool and self-catering apartments are also available.

It’s modern and comfortable, with a lovely view from the deck. The cabins come in pairs, sharing the deck with a partial partition, so privacy could be an issue for some.

The spot is well positioned to reach all parts of the Flinders Ranges and is close to the Woolshed restaurant. The property was clean and comfortable. The majestic hill views were spectacular, and we enjoyed our stay with our two teenagers, Ivan and Savar. We returned after 10 years and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Provisions were generous, the location was tranquil, and the staff were world‑class. This is an excellent venue and I highly recommend it. The only downside was that the restaurant was too far to walk from the Homestead, but that’s not anyone’s fault—the Homestead existed before the restaurant!

The spot is gorgeous, but the décor feels a touch old‑fashioned.
