The pool was huge and the staff were very friendly, but the outdoor area feels neglected and could be better maintained.

The dining room staff were very pleasant, but the bathroom looked quite tired and tatty, and the reception and bar were often unstaffed.

The building is very nice and authentic, and the location is good for visiting Bath and Bradford on Avon, but it was not very clean—spiderwebs in the corners and dust on the wooden beams, and the hotel didn't seem to check the full room after cleaning. Contrary to the hotel’s claims, there were no working EV charging stations, and while breakfast was good, by 9 am some items had already run out.

I found the hotel incredibly relaxing and the staff were truly exceptional; it was a lovely stay and I highly recommend it if you enjoy old buildings full of charm.

The hotel is gorgeous, with a superb outdoor area that includes a heated pool, and the staff were attentive, even making my birthday special; the bedrooms were lovely with very comfortable beds, though there was a minor issue—no bug deterrents around the pool.
