“Perfect and cheap”
I had a fantastic time here; the room was lovely and the price was great. The only downside was that there was no balcony, even though it was listed.
A small, nice hotel just outside the city center but only about 3 minutes from the beach with a sea view. It takes roughly 10‑15 minutes to reach the center.
Safe and convenient.
The room was supposed to have a "sea view," but due to a chaotic tourist boom and poorly managed construction outside the hotel, several eco‑monsters block the view entirely (yet the description still says "sea view"). The "walk‑in shower" meant a showerhead in the middle of the bathroom, but neither the room nor the bathroom had a window or a ventilation fan. Cleaning was a nightmare: the wardrobe contained mouse droppings, and small ants invaded our suitcase and bed. Breakfast was equally disappointing. Another issue: we had booked a lan ha bay tour and an evening kayak trip to see bioluminescent plankton through the hotel before arrival. At the reception, the lady confirmed the tour would start at 8 AM the next day and that we should meet in the hotel hall, but the next morning she suddenly seemed unaware of our plans and did nothing to resolve the situation, leaving us to handle it ourselves.
“It was very traumatic and not worth the price”
It was centrally located, but bugs in the room made it clear that cleaning is inadequate. The front door is not open 24/7; I got locked out trying to reach my room at 2 am and the staff didn’t respond to multiple attempts, forcing me to stay outside until 6 am. If you value peace of mind, avoid this hostel!
