“A peaceful night at The Country Side Pai”
This place is excellent if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, peaceful and relaxing. It’s close enough to the main town that you could walk there, but far enough away that you feel like you’re in a more rural area surrounded by rice fields. The nearby scenery is beautiful, and the little bungalows are really nice inside and out. It was great sitting on the roof after sunset and looking up at the stars. The mattress was lovely and soft, which is quite hard to find in Thailand, making the bed very comfortable. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, providing complimentary tea, coffee, bread, jam, bananas, avocados and fruit. Overall, I really enjoyed my night here and will definitely stay again if I find myself in Pai in the future. The only thing I’d say is bring an eye cover if you find it difficult to sleep with too much light; the lights outside stayed on all night and the curtains were a bit too thin to block it out well. I slept well though.
