“Very disappointing,”
The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Water was not available when we woke up. You can only shower from 4am - 8am and again from I think 4pm to 8pm. We woke at 5.30 and there was no water. When we got back from our activity, there was still no water. The receptionist came and asked why we did not knock on her door to put the pump on. No toiletries we supplied, We had to ask for toilet paper. There is a pub at the back. The music went on till half past 2 in the morning. We could not sleep until after this! It is NOT a quiet place if you need sleep to get up early!
“Could be better.”
I liked that the place was closer to my workplace. After finishing work, I came back to find my room wasn’t locked.
“Not worth it!”
Not much, only that it's close to fast food outlets. The entire stay was rather unpleasant! The room was seperated from the toilet/bathroom by a curtain. Shower was not clean and there was no water when we woke up in the morning. A cockroah ran across our luggage. We didn't sleep as trucks pass by all night on the main road where the lodge is situated and the pub at the back of the premises played loud music until midnight on a Thursday. There's no gate so security was a concern. We occupied 3 rooms and my whole family did not enjoy the stay! Not worth the money!
The water situation in Mokopane is tough, and the hotel keeps you posted about it and offers other options. The extra blankets weren’t clean, and the sheets only get changed once a week.
The receptionist was great. It was too cold in the room and there were no heaters.
