“Bewusste Täuschung der Gäste – Hier wird mit miesen Tricks gearbeitet!”
The staff on site were friendly – they must be used to dealing with the daily complaints that the management throws up with this price‑gouging scheme. We (two families) booked this 4‑star hotel over a year in advance for a concert, deliberately filtering for “breakfast included.” The nightmare on arrival: the included breakfast at the time of booking was just a coffee and a croissant, which no longer exists. Today you can have a normal breakfast, but it’s not included and we would have to pay a cold 19 € per person per day! In short, we booked and paid for “with breakfast” and suddenly it wasn’t available on site – and anyone who didn’t want to starve had to pay extra for a regular breakfast. I’ve never experienced this and I always seek direct conversation. After my email complaint, the management sent only standard phrases (communication problem; misunderstood; the light breakfast would have been there anyway; etc.). For days now there’s been complete radio silence – my emails are simply ignored. I’ve never left a bad review. That’s why I struggled for a long time, but because I read reviews before every booking, I have to leave a clear warning here. The hotel’s official statement: there had been a notice on their own website. That is absolute rudeness and deliberate customer deception. No one looks for a booking on a platform and then checks the hotel website for hidden fine print. Here the platform filter is manipulated to get cheap bookings. Legally this is an unlawful, unilateral contract change. I will also contact consumer protection. It’s not about the few euros, but about protecting future guests from these methods. Note to management: spare your flimsy, copied standard replies that you put under every critical review. Your excuses no longer interest us. Future guests are warned: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
