The whole staff was super friendly and warm, and the location is great for exploring up to Mar Fafako and the surrounding villages—feet in the water!
“Incredible time in Mar Lodj!”
Rasta Cabane is incredible. The people were kind, the location was perfect, and the peace was exactly what we wanted. Services are basic but sufficient. Jacques’ food was amazing, and the cabane had plenty of water, coffee, beer, etc. It’s well situated on the island and close to the public ferry. The only caveat is there’s no running water and everything is battery powered at the lodge. Shops are scarce, so bring bug spray, medicine, and specific items beforehand. The village is about 15 minutes inland on foot, but the shops aren’t very well stocked.
Great location, super friendly team, excellent meals thanks Fatou! The comfort is basic, but for the price it’s still a nice spot, authentic.

Exceptional spot right on the water. The staff is attentive and very friendly, and there are several places to relax. All the facilities need maintenance, which is a shame to see the place deteriorate. It’s a bit pricey for the level of comfort, especially the meals—although they’re good, they cost twice what I paid elsewhere. Paying for an omelette and rice at the same price as a meat dish isn’t normal.
