I booked a room with two queen beds but was handed a king instead; the front desk insisted the booking listed a king even though I have a copy showing queen. It was late, so my sister and I accepted the mistake. The blow dryer was broken, the water temperature was erratic—either too hot or too cold—and the water itself looked dirty, brown and yellow. Sheets had holes, were dusty, and there was trash behind the beds. Furniture and carpet had stains. I’ll be visiting this area often in the coming years, but I’ll pay extra elsewhere for proper cleanliness.

Nothing was good. The washcloths were filthy and should have been thrown out. Everything felt old and the hotel should have closed. The blanket on the bed had large holes, and the housekeeper said it was too expensive to replace. The tub had mold, and the closet was nasty; I want a full refund. The building was moldy everywhere, and the health department should shut it down.

It was inexpensive, but the room was unclean and had a strong bad smell.

Nothing was acceptable; I kept my socks on the whole time and brushed my teeth with bottled water. The interior was unbelievably shabby—carpet and towels were worn and stained, the shower curtain tattered, and there were dead bugs as if the bathroom floor and carpet weren’t vacuumed. A large hole in the wall and odd light‑brown stains on walls, the toilet base, and the sofa chair were present. A notice on the door saying the water hadn’t been tested was unsettling. After a long drive to the east, we’d have chosen another place; this was our 20th day on the road. We travel a couple of months a year on road trips across the country and internationally, and we’ve never seen a shabbier place.
