The shower didn’t work at all, which is something that should never happen at a 4‑star hotel.

The room featured laminate flooring, the toiletries were refreshed each day, and the reception team were helpful and spoke good English, with the city centre only about a ten‑minute walk away. Breakfast, however, was a major disappointment: on the first morning the cheese and ham were dried out, only two types of charcuterie were offered, the third day’s salami was rolled in a piece of meat, the yogurt with fruit wasn’t replenished (only melon was available), the bacon was dried and impossible to cut, one morning we got two mystery salads, the bread selection was very poor, and overall the price did not match the quality.

The room was comfortable, but the staff were very rude.

The waiter’s effort to fix the chef’s lateness at breakfast was noted. The chef arrived at 8:00 for breakfast, by which time the breakfast should already have been available. The advertisement promised a pool, but there was none. The view from the window was of a demolished house.

The facilities were very clean and well maintained, and gluten‑free options were available. The breakfast selection could be improved.
