The Shalom family were incredibly warm and helpful, even taking us to the supermarket in the rain. They’re always up for a chat and go the extra mile. The homestay sits right on the main streets with plenty of restaurants nearby. The only downside was that the blanket was a bit small for the two of us.

I liked the location and the fact that there was a mosquito net, and the hosts were lovely. However, there was no key at the door, dogs were tied at the back of the courtyard and barked every morning at 5 am, and there was a huge cockroach in the bathroom.

The property is perfect as a base for a few nights, especially because it’s close to the airport. We only stayed in Negombo for a day but walked to the main sights thanks to the convenient location. The owners and the lady who welcomed us were extremely kind, very helpful, and responsive to any questions we had. The room is simple but has the essentials. Highly recommended.

Very clean accommodation and a very comfortable bed. The owners are attentive, care about your well‑being, and help where they can. No problem for me, but there was no A/C. However, there was a very good fan, which worked well.

We were with a friend at the end of November 2025 and this place blew us away – the owners went above and beyond, showing kindness, consideration and incredible hospitality. The central spot let us reach anywhere easily and the beach was just a walk away. Rooms and common areas were spotless. Even though we were only there for two days, we felt like part of the family and it was an amazing experience. I can’t recommend them enough, and there was nothing I didn’t like.
