“Très bon séjour”
The place was really pleasant, the rooms were spacious and the silence was absolute, though the breakfast felt a bit pricey.
“Aceptable”
Being close to the place I was heading to was a plus, yet the bathroom lacked maintenance, had no extractor or ventilation, and the heat trapped in there; the beach on each balcony, the path to the restaurant or the loungers, and the pool all needed cleaning—so I didn't use it because it looked murky.
The biggest perk of this hotel is its superb location right in front of Paamul beach and surrounded by calm nature, with stunning room views, an amazing included breakfast, and great food at the restaurant, and the staff there were extremely kind and lovely, making up for everything else; however, there were many drawbacks: ongoing construction on the property, a makeshift reception in what looks like a sales office, rooms that are spacious yet damp and outdated with rusty bathroom fixtures, stained walls, leaking AC, and mold in a few spots; the kitchenette was minimal and the coffee maker cheap; the price‑performance ratio fell far short compared to other places we stayed, which is a shame because a bit more maintenance would have helped.
The view from the room overlooking the sea was fantastic, the beach club and pool facilities were great, but the curtains let in too much light and the bar was on the expensive side.
“Great boutique hotel with great restaurant with delicious food!”
This boutique hotel has a lovely restaurant with tasty food and mellow music that even got my husband to request the playlist; we came with our three kids who adored the pool and beach games, the suite was large with an amazing view and near the restaurant, and the hotel sits in the tiny ‘village’ of Paamul, giving it a local, cozy feel—definitely recommend if you enjoy small, comfortable hotels with good service.
