The host was warm and helpful, and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and the services were of good quality. They even offered a full tour of the churches, which was great. The only downside was that when we arrived, our card was declined for the stay and we had to pay in cash.

The staff were attentive. The only issue was that the power went out and there was no generator to provide a fix.

The room was exceptionally clean. The only thing that could have been better was having information about when breakfast was served.

The room was clean, quiet and surprisingly spacious, and the hot water worked perfectly. For a $50 nightly rate the breakfast felt far too basic – just toast, fried rice, coffee and an egg that all cost extra, which seemed a bit unreasonable, and the dinner was mediocre and overpriced.

I loved Lalibela and was moved by all that historical weight. The hotel was flawless, nothing to complain about. The chef and his dishes were amazing. I would definitely come back.
