The road to Cambutal is hazardous, but aside from that the Hotel Playa Cambutal is excellent.

Location is a dream, food is very good, and the staff is mostly nice, with a few exceptions. However, sand fleas and mosquitoes were an issue, the turtle tour that the hotel arranged was disappointing—no turtles were seen after 3 hours of waiting—and I paid 80 dollars for it.

The location is absolutely beautiful and majestic, perfect for surfing and whale watching, and the surroundings are stunning; the staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, and I sincerely congratulate the entire team. There was very little that was not to like, everything was great and made for a wonderful stay.
