The eggs and sausage were decent, though I never tried the waffles that other guests seemed to enjoy. The juice machine was broken, fresh fruit was scarce, and I would have preferred bacon instead.

The exterior looked fine, which was misleading. Inside, everything felt outdated and a bad odor lingered from the halls to the elevator to the room. The place was dirty; the elevator squeaked and looked run‑down, almost scary. My room was unclean: a towel hung in the bathroom looked folded but was actually dirty, and there was pubic and head hair plus visible dirt in the shower. The sheets probably smelled dirty too, yet the bed was made to look clean. The hotel needs a complete overhaul, new staff, and a rebuild. At the front desk, a clerk greeted me with “they’re still booking these rooms knowing they ain’t supposed to be,” which made me wonder if there were bed bugs. When I asked her for clarification, she wouldn’t explain.

I enjoyed having coffee in the lobby 24/7, and whenever waffles appeared on the breakfast buffet it was a nice perk. The hotel is under remodel, and Hilton should hire better contractors. Beds, showers, location, and furniture were all good, but the repairs—wallpaper and reconditioned tubs—were shoddy. No complaints about the staff; they were all excellent.

The location was close to The Summit, and the check‑in staff were pleasant. The room was unclean at arrival: mold on the bathroom ceiling, a dusty headboard, fingernail clippings on the carpet, and hair in the bathtub. The worst part was ants covering the inside and outside of my empty water bottle the next morning. The afternoon staff couldn’t put their phone down to help me, so I didn’t feel comfortable raising the cleanliness issue. I checked out after the first night—two days early—even though I couldn’t get a refund. I’d rather cut my losses than stay in a dirty hotel.
