When I arrived early in the morning, I tried calling the hotel twice to confirm my reservation and ask if I could check in before 12 pm, but no one answered. We ended up spending half a day in the airport. The alley to the hotel was very narrow, so the taxi had no place to park; it stopped and we hurriedly pulled out our luggage and paid quickly because a line was forming behind us. At the front desk I handed my passport and booking to a young woman, but her phone rang and I had to wait a few minutes while she answered it. I looked around at the worn interior, and after that I realized I couldn’t get through on the phone for half a day. I took my documents and left, feeling unwelcome. I called the first hotel I found on Booking, they answered, gave me the price, told me there was a triple room, and explained how to get there. The receptionist spoke Russian, so we immediately moved to another hotel. The receptionist at that hotel also spoke on the phone about her personal matters.

“Never again! !!”

The location was fine. But “Classy and Cozy Hostel” turned out to be a joke. The hostel was neither cozy nor classy, judging by the attitude of the two Indian ladies at reception. I booked a dorm with seven beds, yet there were fourteen beds, plus two little kids sleeping in the room. The kids were cute but noisy until late; the little girl woke before 7 am, and I woke too. I couldn’t fall back asleep, which frustrated me. I told reception I’d booked a seven‑bed dorm, but there were actually fourteen beds, including children. Their reaction was unapologetic and indifferent; they spoke in their own language while I was speaking, which was rude. I asked them to stop, saying the description should be accurate and that I was tired of scams in the Caucasus. They kept saying, “It’s not our fault.” I told them even if it wasn’t their fault, they should at least apologise. Their answer was, “Maybe.” Their attitude was absolutely appalling. I booked seven nights but stayed only one. The Wi‑Fi was very poor and slow, and there was only one bathroom for everyone.

It was decent for the price, but the toilets had no light at all, giving it a very odd vibe. The washing machine runs 24/7, so if you stay near it it’s always noisy and humid. The hot water only worked when it wanted to.
