The Parador de Tortosa, a 10th-century castle hotel in the Beceite Mountains, offers historic charm and magnificent views of the Ebro Valley and Tortosa. Originally built by Moorish King Abderramán III, it features Gothic updates, vaulted ceilings, and antique-style furniture. A spacious sun terrace and seasonal pool provide stunning views, while the restaurant serves traditional Catalan cuisine amidst exquisite stained-glass windows.

The location was good, but the rooms were badly soundproofed, the parking spots were too few and too narrow, and the food was of poor quality.

The location and view are great.

The hotel sits beside the ruins of an old castle, yet the staff feel somewhat cold and formal, while the restaurant team is very friendly. The spa feels a bit outdated but still functional, and the front desk is similarly officious and cold, though it was tolerable. The place doesn’t need to be warm and fuzzy all the time; it comes across more like a bank.
